The Healing Touch Practitioner

Expanded Healing Touch Awareness Exercise

This exercise will help you become more aware of the natural energy flowing through your hands and how it connects to your body and intuition.

  1. Get Comfortable:
    Sit or stand in a relaxed position. Ground yourself by noticing your connection to the floor. Take a few slow, natural breaths and allow your shoulders, jaw, and face to soften.

  2. Activate Your Hands:
    Rub your palms together gently for 15–20 seconds. Notice any warmth, tingling, or subtle vibrations. Let this movement awaken your sensitivity to the energy in your hands.

  3. Explore the Space Between:
    Slowly separate your hands 3–6 inches apart. Hold them there and simply observe the space between your palms. Notice if you feel:

    • Warmth

    • Pulling or magnetism

    • Tingling or light pressure

    • A subtle vibration or flow

    Move your hands slightly closer and farther apart, observing how the sensations change. Don’t try to make anything happen just notice what naturally arises.

4. Scan Your Body Through Your Hands:
Place your right hand over your heart and your left hand over your lower abdomen (or wherever feels natural). Take three slow, intentional breaths, imagining the energy from your hands connecting with your body. Notice:

  • Any shifts in warmth, tingling, or pressure

  • Feelings of relaxation or release

  • A sense of centeredness or lightness

5. Tune Into Subtle Guidance:
While your hands are resting on your body, ask silently:
“What is my body and energy inviting me to notice right now?”
Simply observe any sensations, images, or intuitive impressions that arise.

6. Close the Exercise:
Slowly move your hands away and relax your arms. Take a final deep breath. Notice how your body feels now compared to when you started. You might sense more clarity, calm, or energetic alignment.

Optional Reflection:
Consider jotting down any subtle impressions or shifts you noticed. These small observations are the building blocks of trusting your intuitive touch.
